BPMN 2.0 Choreography Toolbox
« on: September 11, 2012, 02:01:03 am »
Hello,

I am using Enterprise Architect Version 7.1.  I would like to get a the BPMN 2.0 Choreography Toolbox for which would be very useful for the work I am doing.

1.  Is this toolbox available for EA version 7.1?
2.  Does the latest Enterprise edition of EA come with this toolbox?
3.  What would be the cheapest option for getting this?  Upgrading to the latest version or getting this toolbox as an add on.

BPMN 2.0 uses MDG (Model Driven Generator) technology which was introduced in EA 7.5

Hence BPMN 2.0 will not work with your version, suggest you upgrade to the latest version EA 9.3.935

Cheers

Phil

Thanks Phil!  I have raised this with the PM and budget pending  :)  I may get an upgrade.

I do have one last question:  I have been (for ages now) trying to change the appearance of my system (non-human) actors in my Use Case Diagrams to that similar to a class diagram (in the actual diagram) however in the project browser the usual actor decoration to be maintained.  I know it is possible because you did so for the Online Shopping System on the EA for UML Practioners course I took at Dunstan Thomas.

Could it be that this is not possible due to me using version 7?

Right-click the Actor
Select Advanced -> Use Rectangle Notation

There you are!

The only way to change the appearance in the project browser is to define a profile and set the "icon" attribute of your stereotype. No idea if that was possible in version 7 though.
