Editing of multiple elements?

Sorry if this has been previously posted, but a search for 'edit multiple elements' finds nothing...

How can I easily select multiple elements (eg. in the Package Browser) and set a common property (eg. set the Phase of all selected elements to the same value at once)?

I would be surprised if this was not possible from the EA UI, without having to resort to import/export or automation.

On the other hand... right-click on the package and select the Package Control | Update Package Status option. Does that help you?

You work on the whole package. If you have a sprinkling of elements to update across different packages it might be worth moving these elements into the same package to set the status or phase, then moving them out again, but that would have to be a very small number of elements.

Thanks for the tip.  I was hoping for something more generic, however, that would handle Tagged Values, for example.  The Package Browser is otherwise a great feature, but being unable to do bulk edits is disappointing.

Any chance of a feature update?

Try setting your diagram to List view - right-Click - List View.
Then you can edit Element.fields by clicking on them (You can view TV's but you have to edit them in the Tagged Values View).
 
Otherwise log it as a Feature Request using the link at the bottom of the page.
