Import method notes from class to instance

Hi,
I am currently on version 7.5.850. I have created classes and now creating sequence diagram, using instance elements from the classes. I have a RTF template with a table which lists the connector name, source, target and finally connector notes in the last column. I was guessing that when the document gets generated the connector notes would get populated from the associated classifier of the instance but it does not happen. Would appreciate if somebody could throw some light on why this does not happen. Because when I drag a call from 1 instance to another I can actually select from a list of methods available from the classifier.
Please suggest if there is way by which the instance details (notes, attributes etc) can be populated from the classifier.
