Space required for DBMS repository
« on: January 31, 2013, 08:33:28 pm »
I'm investigating getting a DBMS repository setup for our team and I'd like to know if there's any guidance on how much disk space will be needed.  Obviously we may need more space as we create more models, but what's a good starting point?

(I need this information in order to get someone to pay for the disk and arrange regular backups, etc. before we start using it).

Thanks

Hi,

just from the top of my head. We usually start with 100MB for a Repository (SQL Server).

Our biggest Repository has around 500MB.

Kind regards,

Helmu

Thanks.

How much information is held in your biggest Repository in terms of classes, use cases, diagrams, etc.?
