floating licence over internet

Hi All

I have a EA version 9.00 purchased for me with a one floating licence. The reason for me to have floating licence is that our small start-up don't utilise it that much and there are two of us.

we did not have a problem so far as I was the one handling the EA stuff all these days.  Now my partner wants to use the same software and want to figure how extend the floating licence services to him. He is living in another country and travels a lot.

We both work from home and use general domestic internet connections.  we want to find a way to enable the licence server access through internet.  I just want to know if there is any way we could do the same?

Any tips on how to get this working is much appreciated

The Keystore Service is not supported for use directly across the internet, however you could perhaps try creating a VPN connection between your sites to allow remote access.

Please make sure you are using the Keystore Service however and not the older file-based key store method (i.e. directly referencing a shared sskeys.dat file from EA).  The old file-based key store method can result in a corrupted key file in some environments if the network is slow or unstable.

Its probably more cost effective to purchase a fixed licence, rather than invest the time in getting something like this to work, not to mention the necessity of having to have an internet connection!
