line spacing on element names in diagrams...
« on: April 03, 2013, 01:08:05 pm »
It seems activity names (using the BPMN 2.0 toolbox) automatically have a 'blank line' above the names. Whereas use case names and class names do not. So if I change the size of the activity 'box', the name is not centred... it occupies the lower half of the 'box'. How do I get it to NOT have (in Word lingo) a 6pt spacing above the text??? please!

I'm not sure about this, but likely these elements are drawn using a shape script defined inside the MDG. Either you change this in the MDG or you request the MDG provider to change it.

qwerty is correct. The placement of the name inside the activity element is indeed defined within the shapescript in BPMN 2.0 MDG

I believe the reason the blank line, is to allow space for the icons which BPMN 2.0 uses for the task type. Removing this blank line, would place the name behind the graphic.

In some cases (System Tasks) even with the newline, the name, if it is long, can still be partially hidden behind the  task type icon.

Cheers
