Mixing EA versions
« on: April 12, 2013, 10:16:58 pm »
Hi there - could anyone confirm if it is ok to have different versions of Enterprise Architect application to edit a project stored in central SQL server repository?

I've got project that was created few years ago, and is being edited by users with 8.x and 9.x versions of EA. All seems to be ok so looks like mixing of versions is fine, but would be good if anyone could confirm that? I was now thinking of upgrading to v10, but does that mean everyone will need to upgrade the same time?

Thanks
Pasi

There were only minor changes introduces with one meta type (don't remember which) but even with that it should not be a real problem. In general: no issues.

The new metatype is the enumeration.
There are no real problems, but you can't properly edit a v10 enumeration element with a v9 client.
