default display of classes changed?
« on: May 22, 2013, 12:48:51 am »
Has he default display of classes changed since version 9.2 (or by the latest UML version)? I notice that if I create a new class in EA 10.x, a box without a separating line (between name and attributes compartment) is shown, while in EA 9.2 a freshly created class shows the separating line by default.
Thanks for any help.

You're right. I haven't noticed that. Is this a bug?

Looking into Superstructures it seems they use both variants mixed.

The default display of a new Class (or other type of element) on a diagram depends on two things. Firstly, if the Diagram Properties dialog has been set up to show attributes and operations of each member type (Features tab) and each of the various element compartments (Element tab). And secondly, if there are any features or characteristics of the element to show in the compartments. A 'virgin' element, on creation, won't have any features or characteristics, and therefore won't show any compartment lines. An element based on a Pattern, Profile, Template or Stereotype might have default features and characteristics, and will therefore show the appropriate compartment lines on creation.

And yes, it was introduced for EA 10.0. From the release notes:

Quote
Compartment line no longer drawn below names of various object types when no features are present to draw.
