Rotate Text or complete Icon / Symbol

Hello,

I am very confused. I am sure that was possible before.

I am using Archimate and want to rotate an Actor icon. Is that possible? There was a small icon to the right of the box in earlier versions. But now I cannot rotate an icon.

The text in the actors box exceed the borders of the icon. Can this be restricted? Or is it possible to use carriage returns (which does not seem to be possible in my version (which is 9.2))?

Can I rotate a text-box and how?

But there are some, which can be rotated. At least the rotate-sign exist for some symbols.

What about text? Can text be rotated? Or at least adapted to the borders of the Symbol?

You can rotate the text in element and connector LABELS (label context menu), and you can rotate a Fork/Join element from vertical to horizontal and vice-versa (element icons displayed off the top right corner of an element.) There is a separate element icon to toggle an Activity Partition between vertical and horizontal. As far as I can recall, that is the range of rotation options in EA.

I don't really understand the issue with text being longer than the width of the element - you can 'drag' an element wider, and there are options on the Feature and Compartment Visibility dialog for resizing the element to fit the longest feature (attribute or operation), to wrap features, and to truncate features on the diagram.

Regarding line breaks in names: yes, you can do that. Insert a new-line char (combo) where ever needed. But that will then be part of the name, not just an option for showing the element on a diagram.
