Hide/show BPMN elements in project browser
« on: June 17, 2013, 11:33:32 pm »
Hi,

I'm creating a lot of BPMN diagrams and as the list grows my project browser is getting crowded and less easy to read. I would rather see just the activities and actions listed, then to have all the start- and endnotes and gateways displayed as well. Is there a way to toglle a hide/show setting on these elements?

I know that I can (or should) define the start- and endnotes once and then reuse them....

There's a recent discussion regarding associations: http://www.sparxsystems.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?num=1370440463 which is all the same.

To clean up the project browser, I usually add a couple of packages, and drag and drop things into them.

If you're really keen you could have separate packages for gateways, activities, etc.

You are right, I deleted my reply.

Rick, try Tools > Options > General and switch off Project Browser > Allow Free Sorting. It won't filter out the elements you don't want to see, but it will group the elements by type making it easier for you to focus on the ones that interest you.
