Using Custom Tagged Fields tags using a profile de
« on: July 01, 2013, 09:36:39 pm »
Using Custom Tagged Fields tags using a profile definition.  Have Created them according to the "Requirements Management with Enterprise Architect" document P44-50 using a profile definition.  However, I seem to have some inconsistency in how Custom tagged Values are now displaying.

I have created 4 Custom Tagged Values per stereotype for (1 Component, 1 Node and 2 Device).

I then used the CSV data import to import data to populate the tagged values.  Where a value is populated in a tagged value field it will display.  However blank fields requiring further data input are not shown for Node or Device.   Component does show the blank tagged values.

When comparing the structure used to create the only difference I can find is that the link between stereotype extends a <<metaclass>>, I have <<myStereotypeNode1>> and <<myStereotypeNode2>> connecting to the same <<metaclass>> Node.
There seem to be 2 issues:
  • blank tagged values not showing consistently for all custom profile definitions
  • RefGUID tagged value fields only displaying text, with no … lookup function showing.  However if I add a new component to the Project Browser, then the RefGUID option is available for that new component.
3 Questions:
    • How to resolve above 2 issues?
    • Should there be any attributes pertaining to the <<metaclass>> - as I seemed to have some spurious values in there which are not referenced in the document "Requirements Management with Enterprise Architect" document P44-50.  I removed these attributes.
    • Within the Profile Definition I added the attributes to each of <<myStereotype>>, I presume I do not need to also add the tagged values under each of <<myStereotype>>, only under the Settings | UML | Tagged Value Types?
