Bulk change on requirements

Hi,

what is the easiest way to change several requirements at once ? E.g. I'm going to change the property "Status" from Proposal to Approval ?

The Addin eaDocX is also worth a try.

Package Browser: it is not possible to mark and change the same property on several reaquiremenst (like in Excel).

eaDocx: only Export ?

I'm using this time csv Export / Import, but it is not the most intelligent way...

Bulk changes are usually some quite individual thing. So either the csv-way or using the API is recommended for that.

Hi Michel,

as far as I know allows eaDocX edit EA elements in Excel. I haven't checked it myself but read some forum entries about that.

Hi,

be aware that is should generally not be possible to restate several requirements at once.
a model based approach implies the check of each element standalone(in the context with its related elements).

If you only want to manage the requirements at your current state, it is possible by the package update.

The way across excel (export/import) is a way I never would use. It would be better to create a script for.

I can confirm that eaDocX (Corporate Edition) allows for bulk editing of Requirements in this way using Excel - it's exactly what we designed it for!
