maintenance documentation
« on: September 23, 2013, 06:43:04 am »
We  use the maintenance package to document all the application change request.  Normally each CR refer one or more use case, and for this reason we would like to generate a document containing part of the maintenance subtree and part of the use case model  in terms of modified use cases.
How to deal with this requirement?
we tried to print out the element referred into a package diagram, but the related printable fields are generic , i.e. it is not possibile to print the scenario if the elment is a use case.

Hello Fausto,

if I understood you right you want to document a documentation according to CRs.

You can collect the wanted elements, packages or diagrams by means of:
  • Documentation based on an arbitrary search (Search Window)
  • Fragments with SQL Query
  • Fragments with Customer Scripts

Helmut I know but it works only within a model.
If you have global changes ad within your EA database you have several applicaiton each one documented within its model, and another model only for the global change I believe what you suggest is not possibile, isn't it?
Thanks a lot for your clarification.

Hello Fausto,

you can easily access information of your repository (*.eap file or Database). A repository may have more than one model.

With Fragments and Customer Scripts you can in principle access information of other repositories. I haven't done it.
