[Enterprise Architect] Questions about licensing
« on: October 01, 2013, 11:20:28 pm »

Merci.

Hi all,

I'm French... I have tried to translate myself... If some of you can suggest some better translation, feel free : better translation <=> better answer/information.

I'm interested in buying AE but I would know some informations that I do not find yet...

About EA Trial :
 - In fact, I've dowloaded and installed it few month ago... but didn't have time to try it enough. Who do you have to contact if I can get some few more days for trial edition ? !
 - EA Trial is more like Desktop, Professionnal or Corporate edition ? I did not get it really :-/

 - Is Eclipse Integration included in EA Desktop ?
 - If I buy EA Desktop edition what is the cost to upgrade to Professional edition ? If it is possible to upgrade to Professionnal edition ? Same question for Corporate Edition ?

Thanks.

Manuel,
EA Trial covers all editions. You can choose on startup which you like to test. It's unlimited for 30 day. If you installed and had no time and now want to do it again contact Sparx sales support. They'll help you out.

Regarding your last questions: simply ask them at Sparx' sales support. They will give you the correct answers. I know it's possible to upgrade but have no idea about prices. Depends on fixed/float license.

Eclipse integration is a separate product. However to get the full advantage of it (ie. Code engineering you will need to have a minimum of the professional edition of EA.)
