HTML Report customizing!
« on: October 12, 2013, 12:30:45 am »
Hey,
i need your help and it would be great if someone help me.

My problem is that i want to have a customized HTML report for my ea project.
I already start a default HTML report and if I start the html project on a browser to safe the diagram as a picture there is the wrong filename for the picture.

What do I have to change in the default HTML Template to get automatically the correct name of the object/ diagram?
so I hope someone can help me!
THANKS for any HINTS!  :)

Hi Dwang,

If I understand you correctly, I think you are trying to make use of the GUID with the HTML.

Here is a post on that item: http://www.sparxsystems.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?num=1349887357/1#1

Hi Stoppy,
thx for your quick answer!

problem: I want to export my project as a HTML Report and i open the Html report on a browser lika chrome, ie, mozilla. then i right-click on the diagram to safe it as a picture there is a defaultname lika ea1 ea2 ea3....

in that case I want to have a specified name for all diagrams. that means it should be automatically the correct filename

ea1 wrong name! it should be diagramname= diagramname.PNG

While I understand why you would like files matching the original name of the diagram, that can't be the behavior because EA needs to ensure a unique name. The naming scheme you're seeing is the simplest way to do that.

Is there a reason you are using the HTML v's the Client?

If it is security reasons, you may want to consider looking at the EA Lite Client.
