Figures and Tables in RTF Document
« on: October 17, 2013, 07:53:51 pm »

Hi.

In order to generate requirements documentation, I have grouped my requirements into packages with related Requirement elements under them. My RTF template maps the packages to sections, and lists the elements as tables with values of the attributes.

I would also like to have an 'Introduction' chapter in the document. I have simply added a package with sections for that. The section text is added to Package's Notes field, which I include after the package's name in the RTF template.

However, the problem is that I also want to insert figures and tables in some sections. It looks like the 'Notes' field is for text, although it supports some formatting. What would be the best way to include such a section? Is it possible to add small document which contains the figure and text as I want under the package? There are some lements like 'Document', 'Artifact', but I am not sure. It would be great to have the rtf piece embedded as an element, which I can update if necessary with a document editor.

Thanks.

I just encountered 'Linked Documents' section in help. It seems to be described as a solution to my problem. I hope it works :)
