How to manage or delete note to connector links

I'm probably missing something very basic, but...

If I associate a note with an element, I get the dotted line connector between the element and the note, and I can select it, which means that I can delete it if I want, or pin the ends etc..

However if I associate a note with an existing connector between 2 other elements, I still get the new association/connector but I don't seem to be able to do anything with it.  In other words I'm stuck with it, can't select it or delete it etc..  but it moves with the Note if I move it.  How can I get rid of these connectors?

To delete the note link, you can do the following:
Right-click on the note and select Advanced... Set Attached Links....
This opens the Link Relations dialog.  Uncheck the links you no longer want.
