How to Build DODAF Diagrams?

Hello, I have a basic question for building DODAF diagrams using EA. I have included in my EA baseline the BPMN components. However, I would have expected the ability to create DODAF based diagrams that represent DODAF views (e.g. OVs, SVs, SvcVs, etc.). However, such views do not appear to be available. The only BPMN diagram types available appear to be BPEL, Business Process, Choreography, Collaboration, and Conversation diagrams.

How am I to build my OV-2, OV-5a, SV-4, SvcV-5 from these?

You need to use the UPDM or DoDAF/MoDAF MDG addins profile for creating DoDAF type diagrams. And BPMN diagrams are not part of DoDAF anyway, so you have to decide another diagram type to use unless you want to include BPMN and UML Activity diagrams into your UPDM profile. We have helped customers learn how to do this if you are interested - we offer a Sparx UPDM trng course and also provide project consulting to build project artifacts with EA that support DoDAF.

Don't use the DoDAF/MODAF add-in. That was an early version of the UPDM add-in (created before the name "UPDM" had been agreed on) and has since been superseded.

We work with many customers using Sparx - we are consultants/trainers in North America. The diagrams are dependent on the project team. We have used all of them.
