Can I model an Oracle virtual column in EA?
« on: April 10, 2014, 01:59:17 am »
I love the database modeling available in EA, especially the ability for EA to generate scripts to create the database tables and objects.  Is it possible for EA to model Oracle virtual columns that became available in 11g?  If so, how?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Tom,

you have the possibility to change to DDL generation template according to your needs. Define a new <<stereotype>> with tagged Values as the properties of the virtual column.

Make a little profile for ORACLE virtual column. For example you may define
  • Stereotype <<virtual>>
  • Tagged Values for the properties of a virtual column
