You need to export the whole set (Project/Export/Reference Data) and then strip the export with an editor.

1. Save the “external template” as an RTF document.
Note:You can copy one from EA to modify and create the “external template” or create one entirely from scratch.

2. In Enterprise Architect, create a new blank template;
  • Right-Click on one of your projects (<name of project>) in the project browser from the right-hand pane of the EA window.
  • Select Documentation > Rich Text Format (RTF) Report
  • Select the “Templates” tab
  • Click the “New” button
  • Name the template but do not specify an existing template to copy from in the “Copy Template” section (drop-down selector).

Note: The Template Designer may automatically open to edit the new template—if so, skip to #4 below or repeat steps 1-3 above so you can see/edit the newly created template by the name given above[/list]

3. When the template is listed on the Templates tab of the Generate RTF Documentation dialog, click on the name and click on the Edit button.
--The Document Template Designer displays.

4. Right-click in the Content panel and select the File > Import context menu option.
--The File Open dialog displays.

5. Locate your template RTF file, and click on the Open button.
--The Open dialog closes, returning you to the Document Template Designer; this now contains your imported template.

6. Right-click and select the File > Save menu option.
If necessary, make any changes to the template and select File > Save again (or click File > Save As to rename it before selecting File > Close to exit the dialog.
