Test Types
« on: September 10, 2014, 04:59:58 am »
Hello,
I'm trying to use the Testing Workspace to create tests based on my functional elements of a project.
Under the "Test:" heading with a text field to name the test, there are drop-down selectors for Status, Type, Run By, Checked By etc.
Under the selector for "Type" it lists CQ Testing, Load, Regression and "Standard".
I have no idea what CQ Testing means nor what their idea of "Standard" is--does anyone else know?

I sent a note to Sparx support but thought I'd ping you experts too!

Go "Settings > Project Types > Maintenance > Test Types" and replace any or all of the defined types with ones that have meaning in your methodology. (I have no idea what CQ Testing means either)

CQ Testing isn't one of the standard types.

Perhaps it's a reference to HP Quality Center.

Thanks to all for your patience.
Apparently it is a site-defined type so I'll have to ask around here to see if anyone remembers what it was supposed to be used for.
I think it must be a reference to ClearQuest which we use for our defect repository/tracking tool but we'll need to verify.
Consider this closed as it doesn't pertain to the typical install of EA.
