HELP! - BPMN connectors dancing allover ! ?

HELP :-/ :-)
When we create BPMN diagrams, we spend a lot of our time desperately trying to make e.g. the sequence flows position as we want - but they are dancing all over.
I'm sure we are missing some point here - what is the trick to make the connectors fall into the lines where we them?

(Currently on EA 10 - will be on EA 11 by January)

Have you got the options set so that the New Connector End Points are Center-to-Center ?

Use Tools>Options>Links and it is on the right of the dialog box.

Certain lines go a bit weird though, especially from Gateways to Activities - in this case, ensure the Line Style is Direct (or Orthoganol) depending on how you place your elements on the diagram.

The behavior you're describing sounds like issues that we used to have with orthogonal connector styles. It has improved since v10.

I've had similar issues (Currently on EA 11).  I've tried various settings in the Tools>Options>Links and it's currently set to Direct line style but still the issue persists.  I see it mainly between vertical Events and Gateways....the sequence flow connects out of alignment when the objects are lined up.

FYI - we are still seeing the same behavior in v11 and v12 beta. The issue pops up if you use orthogonal connectors - but take the time to lay them out - when you move any connected object - even just a fraction - sparx will try to reroute - and mess up your alignment. It is the top complaint of my modelers.

I guess there is still a change to resolve before v12 release !!??? I live in hope !

I have tried all of the above suggestions.
And yes it is worst around gateways - very often it Sticks to the corner opposite of the desired one!!!
It is certainly the top complaint in my organization.

Me too ! This issue exists for me in V11 and consumes a lot of time getting the lines to route properly.

Has anyone tried with the latest build 1113 to see if it's resolved the issue?
