Connecting to TFS
« on: February 26, 2015, 08:57:35 pm »
In my previous post I described a few teething problems when upgrading to V12. http://www.sparxsystems.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?num=1424857221 One of my problems concerned the connection to TFS and Geert mentioned windows authentication. So I checked and it seems he was right. When I brought up the version control settings dialogue, there was my user name and space for a password, but nowhere to select windows authentication. Putting my password in solved my problem in the short term, but since I am required to change that I want windows to handle that for me.

Where can I now select Windows Authentication????

And why did it throw away my settings when I upgraded????

PS
Under my user settings I did find that I am set for windows authentication!!

Doug,

The empty password field is normal. He does that for me as well, but I don't have the problems you described.
Have you contacted Sparx support?

I got this back from tech support.

There have been some changes to TFS integration in EA 12. When opening your existing project (which has TFS integration) with EA 12 you will need to open the Version Control settings and enter a "Display Name" (see the "TFS Settings" help topic). This should be entered as shown in the User column of the Visual Studio Source Control Explorer when you checkout a file. This change was implemented to avoid potential data loss when integrating with TFS.
