Modeling a stepwise implementation

I have made a diagram (Archimate Business diagram) of a target architecture for a domain using Business Functions (as “Capabilities”). That will be implemented in a number of steps (implementation projects). In each step some of the capabilities will be new and others will be improved.

How should I model that so that I can get a good picture of the gaps addressed in each step? And make work packages?

You could assign each step an ID. Then add the ID, to the keyword field of each element that is covered by a step. You can then use 'Diagram Filters' (see help) to show elements in scope for a specific step...
