Assemble built-in toolbox items
« on: April 12, 2015, 07:27:12 pm »
I would like to create a custom toolbox with useful elements for me.
The elements I use are all built-in, such as Archimate tools, SoaML and activity tools.

Is it possible to assemble them all to one toolbox?
When I create an MDG of a new tool set, I can only extend the common tools, such as class, component, package, etc. Where are the other elements?

Thanks in advance!

As q. answered - http://stackoverflow.com/questions/29587937/assemble-useful-toolbox-items
It is possible to assemble the elements into MDG with specification of the menu the element comes from.

For example: for 'Cylinder' element of 'Whiteboard' toolbox, the appropriate is "Whiteboard::Cylinder".
This works well with the example above, but in case there is sub-toolbox, it is not:

In case of 'Process' element of 'Strategic Modeling' -> 'Flow Chart' it is not working.

'Data Store' element of 'BPMN 2.0' -> 'BPMN 2.0 Collaboration' is also not working.

Any ideas?

Go to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Sparx Systems\EA\MDGTechnologies" (or wherever you installed EA), open a technology file in a text editor, search for "<UIToolboxes>" and reproduce what you see in there.
