Query:Test case update and use case creation
« on: May 05, 2015, 07:45:21 pm »
Below are the 2 queries that I have.
1. Is it possible that connected components like test cases get automatically updated once we update a use case or use case step. If not is there a way to visually have a look at what updates are to be in which all connected components to a use case.
2. While creating Use cases is it possible to have nested alternate conditions to a Use case step. For e.g. I create a 1a as alternate condition for Use case Step 1. Can I create another alternate or error condition to 1a?

1. Yes, but that will require an writing an add-in (or scripts with EA-Matic)

2. No, you can only do alternate/exception scenario's to a main scenario.

Couldn't you use Extends or an Extension Point to go one level down and then have another level of alternates? and repeat as many levels as needed?

I don't think that is regarded as a best practice when dealing with use cases.
