EA Cloud and Floating EA Licenses

Can someone explain to how they may have implemented a EA Cloud environment while using Floating EA licenses and the key store?

I am the non-techie trying to explain this to our techie team.

Install the cloud service, follow the setup instructions. (Setup ports, add database connections)

Install the keystore service, follow the setup instructions. (Setup the port, setup the authentication options, add keys)

They are two completely independent pieces of software, you can run them on the same machine with the default settings or a different machine.

So just to be clear, Simon.  because they are independent, I can have a keystore setup for an internal server based repository and then add Cloud Services or vice versa - just make sure the connections are correct.

They keystore has nothing to do with the repository you are connecting to. A user will connect to the keystore when EA loads and then ignore it (except to return the key on close depending on settings.)

The cloud server uses an active connection for a model.
