Import of requirements
« on: August 24, 2015, 08:51:18 pm »
Hi

This is probably going to seem like a very basic question.  I have imported a list of requirements as a CSV file in to EA and this seems to have been successful  :).  However, how do I make/ display these as requirements elements in a diagram in EA?  Hope this makes some sort of sense, as a new user of EA I be grateful for any help, thank you.

Create a class diagram
Ctrl-drag the selected requirements from the browser onto the diagram
Drop as link
Auto-layout

Hi Q

Thanks for the reply.  I am having difficulty seeing the requirements in the browser.  I have imported some requirements using the GUID = blank, Type = requirement and Stereotype = functional.  Then run the import.  I can see the requirements in the import dialogue window, but nothing is created in the project browser window???  Any ideas.  I suppose once I have it in the browser I can just follow your instructions.

Ta.
Peter

I have now resolved this issue - it was the ordering of the attributes in the CSV file which was preventing me from loading the requirements correctly in to EA.  Thanks for the help  :)
