Hi there,
I just tried to edit one of my tutorials. This is most scary! I'm using Safari on Mac OS X 10.10.5. The editor that pops up just shows as tiny window a quarter the size of the full screen. Well, I wanted to edit. Not to work with a microscope! Finally I clicked Submit but nothing happened. After a while the screen refreshed. So did it do anything? Tried again and the same effect. So I clicked Close and that left me with a blank screen. Refresh did not work. The screen was left blank!

I tried to send feedback. Guess what: there is none. I had to go through the FAQ to find a mail address.

Not amused at all.

Cheers,
That was Sep. 9. Now my article is removed and the address leads to a blank page. This "editor" is still not working (tried also with Firefox). I am really pissed.

P.S. And yes, I know that this forum is not at all related to this "Community" (why should it?). But there is no contact address one could talk to (oh, why again should there be one?)

P.P.S. Oh there is a forum: http://community.sparxsystems.com/forum Looks exactly like my removed article >:(

I don't know who looks after the Community site, but I'm sure the guys at [email protected] will know. Send them an email.

I did send the above to [email protected]. They came back on this today and we'll hopefully come to a solution soon.

My article is still not reviewed. Well.

I have removed my presence from the "community" site.

Please don't give up because of a delay in the review process. In case you haven't noticed, we're in the middle of a release. Pretty much everyone here is extra busy at the moment.

I wonder how anyone can be pleased with this process. The editing is a PITA now. Reviews take ages and while that passes the article is completely gone. In the beginning the feedback was very good but now looks like it's taking the same tracks as EA in general.

I also reported a couple of weeks ago some issues with the community site. It seems to be related with the current version and configuration of Joomla on this site.

I have the impression that it's the same person(s) that is(/are) also responsible for this stone age YABB forum software. How cool it would be if there were some unique piece of software to build a forum and the ability to search for answers others already had given. A forum is nice for discuss and learn but forget the words. But people often search for answers to problems others had in a similar way. It's really a pity that Sparx does not support that appropriately. The value they get in return could be much higher. Instead they cripple this community site which seems to live and independent life from this board.

Thinking over the situation I ask myself why Sparx has not yet thought over a joint venture with LinkedIn/StackOverflow(/Google) to create some unique user space.

It's just an idea not a recommendation. This forum is, well, sub-optimal. And the 2nd line community looks like another boat with leaks. I remember some years ago they promised something new to come up instead. I don't know what they meant. Eventually the community sigh-t

I certainly agree it would be great if the forum and community were integrated.
But here is a left field idea - with 12.1 in the wings, and the help being primarily delivered online, there is the opportunity for a wikipedia style help, where the community could contribute, comment, and improve.
