Composite Elements: Auto-create aggregations
« on: September 01, 2004, 11:28:30 am »
G'day,

It would be nice if EA automatically, or by prompting, created aggregation relationships between elements that are, in the project tree, "subsidiary to" a composite element.

Good idea or just plain crazy?
Cheers and best regards.

Hiya CJ,

IMO probably the second!  ;D

1) I would rather EA handled internal classes as just that rather than assuming they were aggregations.
2) I am just a tad sick of software that assumes that it knows more about what I am trying to do than I do (yeah - we just got Ofice 2003)
3) How would you handle the case where the parent had multiple aggregations to the child.

Oh I forgot, we aren't doing him are we.

G'day,

I wanted to modify that original post a bit ...

It would be nice if EA automatically, with prompting via dialog(s), optionally created aggregation (or other, or no) relationships between elements that are, in the project tree, "subsidiary to" a composite element.
Cheers and best regards.
