Some visual questions
« on: October 26, 2004, 04:58:26 am »
hey y'all!

I am evaluating UML tools for my company and currently EA is my favorite as it has most features.

Now I have two questions regarding the visual representation.

First, I would like to freely resize the ellipses in Use Case diagrams. Although they show 9 handles, only the ones in the corner work as expected. But I would like to have them much wider than they are now without them becoming higher at the same time. Is there any way to change this obviously fixed aspect ratio?

The other question is more of a request and regards dashed lines, for instance in class diagrams. Dashed lines are really ugly. The dashes are not in the same angle but rather look higgledy-piggledy. Are there any plans on straightening the lines?

Best regards,

-- Harry

G'day,

Question 1:

Lookup "Object Appearance" in EA's help file index.  There is an option called "Allow elongated Use Cases".  I think that will do the trick.
Cheers and best regards.

1. You can scratch your own answer using 'remove' if you want !!

2. If you are desperate (enough) to want to change an element's appearance, you can always 'select alternate image' and supply your own custom symbol ...
