How to work with different EAP versions?
« on: January 31, 2005, 12:17:59 pm »
I have version 3.60.659 of EAP and another user has the latest.  I am unable to open the EAP file he created.  Is there anyway he can export a file compatible with a lower version number?

Thanks,

Sum

I'm afraid you can't open a 4.xx EAP file with any 3.xx version of EA - the differences are too great.

I think your best bet is to download and install the free EA Lite viewer. This will allow you to open your colleague's EAP file and view the contents but you won't be able to make any changes. I've just tried it and EA 3.60 and EA Lite 4.51 will happily exist side-by-side on the same PC, although you may find EA Lite steals the desktop shortcut (sorry).

Depending on what features you use give XML-ex/import a chance.
