Note dichotomy

I know this is Paolos area of expertise but after playing around with the attach note feature I was wondering whether it would be possible to have this behave more orthogonal? When I create a Note I can attach an element feature (like the element note for example). The diagram Note now shows the element note. Nice  
Now I do almost the same with a relation. The first thing is that I have to use a different handling (right click the relation and "Attach Note" instead of drawing a note relation). Now I found that the note in the relation and the note on the diagram are not related at all (different to above example with the element note).  

Sigh - it would really be nice to have a more orthogonal UI

It's not really my area of expertise, it's just the inconsistency hits me between the eyes...

I've got more orthogonal in my old age....
