Show connections between shapes

Is there any way to select (at least two) shapes on a diagram and get EA to add the (hidden) connectors?

I wish .....

The best way I have found is to select one and expand the links view, sort it by In Diagram, select all of interest, right click, select "Show relation", manipulate all the links so they are not on top of each other...  wear red shoes, click heels twice ....  its a long way to Tipperary....
