Status types on elements other than requirements
« on: February 16, 2006, 08:52:44 am »
On requirements and issues the shape of the symbol has the thin strip to the left which is used to display the status type colour coding on diagrams for the status of the element, and with everything set up properly this works a treat.

However, if you try to use the same method to show the status of say, Use Cases or Packages,  the colour coding is not obvious because it only appears on the shadow stroke.   I'd like to request that the shadow fill is also used for the colour coding to make it more obvious.

I agree. The color change can currently only be detected when using a lens :(

TK,

Do you use a coloured background?  With my failing eyesight I turned of the default diagram background colour yonks ago - I agree that the status color doesn't exactly jump out of the screen and grab you by the whatevers but its certainly visible.

Thanks Bruce for the tip. I had the default grey background. And changing it to white indeed helps recognizing the color. However, Grahams suggestion is good.

I just found out, that Features can not be selected in the list of applying status colors. Probably there are some more missing and I'd like to vote for having the list complete for all elements.
