Changing the name of a Status Type

I'd really like to be able to change the name of a Status Type.  As far as I can tell, everything else about a Status Type can be changed.  I'm afraid to delete/recreate the one I'd want to change, since I doubt the new one would be applied to the same elements throughout the model as the old one was.
