Text positioning in Tree Style
« on: May 21, 2006, 07:39:30 pm »
I'm sure I sent Sparx something about this nearly a year ago, but anyway, it bears repeating.

Generally, text appears on the middle segment of a connector.  Which is fine for most instances.

However, if you select Tree Style for a connector, you lose track of which text belongs to which connector.  It would seem better to me to place the text (when in Tree Style) on the first segment (The "Start" segment - at the source end...)

Strongly seconded!

Particularly important when tree style connectors become available beyond just generalizations. We live in hope... [CCC!]

actually, there should be more options to customize tree style connectors - now there is only up-down style, besides, upper part of a connector isn't movable :-/

i would consider to register as a fix/enhancement
registertm everything to SparX

True, but I had forgotten how frustrated I got while trying to produce some "neat" diagrams for a metamodel recently. There's clearly a small cluster of related enhancements that could be presented together, and which would have significant appeal.
