SQLite
« on: April 11, 2006, 01:04:00 pm »
Currently I write some small projects to get familiar with EA :)
It would be nice to have SQLite in the list of supported databases... If it's not hard to implement :)

EA-folks,

If you create a DDL from a data model, you can use these SQL- statements within SQLite without any change. SQLite is definitely supported and should be on your list ;)

EA rocks !!

Since SQLite makes use of VIEWs and my preferred option "MySQL" does not, I generate SQLite DDL's with ORACLE as target database. There you get views.

It's funny to see that SQLite is ahead of MySQL :)
(Shouldn't there be a MySQL-5 version update since MySQL-5 is able to cope with views !?)

Bernd

Yes, but I hope they make the versions selectable since not everyone is going to update their DB.

The better way really would be to have the whole thing customisable by features (e.g. supports views, supports ALTER TABLE etc. ...)

I totally agree with you. Customizing of database objects would be a wonderful, cool feature !!
