CombinedFragment - Notes & Stereotypes
« on: September 29, 2006, 07:32:45 am »
It seems incongruous that a Combined Fragment cannot have a Notes attribute on the main dialog...

I thought it was a tenet of modelling that anything and everything should be able to have some narrative description applied to it... :D

Also, while we're at it, since stereotypes are used to modify the rendering of an EAElement, Combined Fragments should be stereotypeable.  The stereotype needn't be visible, but it should still be settable on the dialog.

You can set the stereotype via the Properties Window [Alt+1] and the notes via the Notes Window [Ctrl+Shift+1], so why remove them from the main Combined Fragment dialog?

Thoughts/Votes?
Paolo.

I agree...

I'm assuming "they" refers to CombinedFragment elements, not stereotypes. Stereotypes can be stereotyped in a metamodel, but I do not think that's what you were talking about.
No, you can't have it!
