Provide "Forum" radio button in Search f
« on: February 06, 2007, 02:30:25 am »
Hello, I would like to be fair and therefore check if a similar topic has already been posted / answered in the past.

But because I have not got the time to search all topics of about 50 pages I need a search feature for the forum topics too.

You offer one for "Sparx Systems" and for "EA User Guide" anyway. Couldn't you provide a third radio button "Forum" at the Search field?

Do you mean you'd like to see this as an option on the Search bar of the Sparx site, so it would be available even to users who were not viewing the forum at the time they performed the search?
No, you can't have it!

I did not thing of this, it would be an additional value, but on the other hand SparxSystems would have to decide for their own site. Actually I missed that "Forum" filter / radio button locally within this forum itself.

Have you tried "Search" between Help and Members?

Thank you very much, that is exactly what I had needed - two Search links on one page were too much for my IQ ...

What's wrong with you, tomte?  First you want non-tautological help.  Now you want conistent user interfaces!  Where will this stop?  Software that works?   ;D
