IDEA: Use Parameter Name for DB Operations
« on: March 07, 2007, 09:21:51 pm »
For Data Modelling diagrams, we've found that the default diagram setting of Show Parameter Detail: [Type Only] is not very useful.  So we set it to Show Parameter Detail: [Name Only], which seems to provide better information and rendering on the diagrams.

I think it would be a good idea to change the Diagram Properties behaviour so that if you select either of the two data modelling notations: Connector Notation: [Information Engineering] or Connector Notation: [IDEF1X], the Show Parameter Detail: be set to [Name Only].

In addition, the rendering on the browser should also follow this convention (for database related operations).

Inconsistently correct systems DON'T EXIST!
... Therefore, aim for consistency; in the expectation of achieving correctness....
