Support for Oracle Packages
« on: May 03, 2007, 12:50:47 am »
Hi,
In a post back in Autumn '06, it was suggested that the ability to handle Oracle packages might be introduced into EA. This feature would be very useful to us. Has anybody heard any more about when this might be included?
TIA
Malcolm

We'd be very interested in this also...

This had been mentioned some (quite some) time ago. I know Sparx indicated there was interest on their side (although whether this was in the forum or a private message I simply don't remember).

I'm particularly interested in this because support for stored procedures alone is often not (quite) enough if you've got to pass result sets (i.e. tables) back to calling code. Oracle insists that this be wrapped in a package.

Perhaps for version 7.

Should we nudge them again?
