Full size RTF viewer
« on: August 09, 2007, 08:52:09 am »
In EA 7.0, when I generate RTF documentation and click on View, the viewer which comes up is only about 1/4 the size of the diagram panel and is not resizable, so it is very difficult to read the document.  How about making it full size or at least resizable?

Also, I would like the option to go direct to print rather than having to view.

Also, I am getting a bounding box on printing diagrams, even though I have deselected Show Page Border.  I actually would be happy to have a page border if it looked good, but it doesn't.  The line looks like a 1 pixel line, which is faint  on a 1200 dpi laser.  The line is also only on the top and left and is missing on the bottom and right.  If I add the header and footer, then the bottom one appears, but half of the footer is in the unprintable margin and so is cut off.  The right line still does not appear.  The margin settings are desensitized, so I can't adjust those.

And, oh, btw, have you ever considered providing an alternate set of templates for those of us who don't use A4 paper?  Yes, I know A4 is sensible, but it just isn't practical for us here.  I have managed to figure out how to export and edit to make the adjustment and perhaps you figure that everyone will want to tailor them, so there is no point in a US set, but ...

Oh, and why does the Notes section in the Use Case Scenario jump to the next page when it is more than will fit to the bottom of the page?

I agree throughout. This is an area where some one-time attention to detail will pay off well over time, for a lot of users.

Sparx, please look into improving page size handling. Also please take a look at how EA resets default page sizes whenever (most) print-related dialogs are invoked.

No, you can't have it!
