IDEA: Default to 'Name Only' for DM items
« on: October 31, 2007, 07:36:56 am »
In the browser and in other places, the default presentation mode for parameters is Type Only.  Other options include:  Name and Type or Name Only.

For Data Modelling items (and in particular, DM Diagrams) it makes more sense (and I believe is more useful to default to Name Only.  This is particularly true in the browser.

This is because (unlike normal class or OO operations), we aren't interested in the operation signatures, but the name of the parameters representing the appropriate columns.

Quite true.

This is another side effect inherited from the logical diagram ancestry of data models. YA reason to give data models their own 'engine.'
No, you can't have it!
