Expanded Diagram View
« on: November 06, 2007, 09:58:21 am »
I use model diagrams a lot in discussions and presentations typically using an overhead projector. I would really love a feature that lets me expand the current diagram to fill the screen.

Joe,

There is a button to fit a diagram to the current page. Still, that's not likely to be your current projection size.

Other than that, open the Pan and Zoom window and move the slider. There is nothing that will automatically stop zooming when the page is filled, so you'll have to eyeball the whole process to get the right scale.

All of the sizing options appear to work within the context of the current window size. The Current window (or panel) is constrained by the other windows or tool-bars I have open. I can get what I'm after if I close all other open windows or tool-bars and fiddle around with the zoom. When I'm done, I have to hunt for the windows that I closed and open them again. What I'm looking for is the ability to temporarily close all other open windows. Eclipse has a similar feature. When you double-click on a window tab, that window expands to occupy the entire screen. Double click again and all of the other open windows & tool-bars reappear. For me, that would be optimal.

Yes, I know what you mean. To be honest I really cannot remember whether EA has something like that.

Perhaps you can create a custom layout, with only the drawing window. Then you could (fairly) rapidly switch between layouts.
