Viewing tag values on locked records

I am using <memo> fields for Tagged values.  When the record is locked it does not appear to be possible to launch the pop and there is no scroll par on the Tagged values window which makes viewing long text a poor experience without unlocking the fields, which may not be possible if it has  been locked by someone else.

My question here: why is there a Value AND a MEMO field for tags at all. Sparx is using the memos to explain tags whereas Value contains the value. I would like to store values also in Value but get forced to use the Memo for long texts. This is pretty much confusing, to be polite. Another bad example of EAUI.

I guess that realizing your request would add additional EAUI, though it seems to be a necessary step...
