Diagram View - Element Placement
« on: December 03, 2009, 11:07:53 pm »
Guidelines either via a ruler(horizontal / vertical) would help with placing elements on diagrams. I notice that information for the actual x,y coords is shown. Refer to Visio 2007 for an example. i.e. Dynamic Grid etc.

There is an option to show the grid in a diagram, does that help?

Geert,

The grid option you have mentioned. I am using this, however, this doesnt provide what I'm looking for in terms of guidelines for element placement.

Horizontal and vertical guidelines that you can move around - like in Visio. With 'snap to guideline' behaviour. That would be nice. Feature request. Maybe in version 94 that'll happen...

Just to be sure - the following doesn't help?
