Change author

I have a windows-user-id like this "AB77T9442Q"

If I enter an element, it will put in my user credentials as author.
So the author becomes AB77T9442Q
I have to change this (all the time) into Marcello Hasdoneit
There must be an easy way to do this, I hope.
Like: when the people-table has some kind of knowlegde about my windows-credentials and my real user name.

BTW: there are some fields too, where I can't change the author.
(Like a note on a diagram)

If you setup security (only corporate versions and higher) you have to login with a username/password.
In this case the name of the user is used in the author field. (which would be a solution to your problem)
