RTF Generator - missing diagrams

Hi, I'm currently generating an RTF containing a usecase model, which includes all diagrams.

The structure of the model is simple and not very deep, with diagrams for each usecase at the same nested level for each.

My document is almost perfect. My problem is that out of about 30 diagrams, 2 aren't being output to the RTF document at all. Instead, I get the template macros where the image should be appearing in the output RTF document (not limited to just the image: name, notes, etc. also have the same problem):

The strange thing is that it is only for 2 of the diagrams all others are just dandy - I have checked all diagram options, etc. and I just can't find out the cause.

edit: ah-ha - it seems it's the first diagram in the section that seems to be the problem. If I reorder the elements, the problems shifts to the new first element. I still have no idea why.

Has anyone else experienced this?

I've experienced something like this. Depending on which package level I ran the RTF Report, the diagrams would show or not show. I didn't make the correlation to the first element being the one not showing, but I believe that was the case for mine too. You might want to file a defect with Sparx.

Hi, maybe you have checked the 'Skip root package' under Generate RTF documentation tab Advanced? That might be a reason for not getting the first diagram. Another reason could be that the RTF Report Option for the package is set to 'Exclude package from RTF Reports'.

Hi Per, that was one of my first thoughts. Unfortunately, not the cause.

In fact, if I reorder the elements in the project tree so that a different one appears first, then that element's diagram disappears, and the previously missing diagram is output properly.

I experience the same problem with EA build 848. My diagrams are childs of requirement elements.
