Change color of link line when it is selected

Having the ability to specify a different color for selected objects would be particularily useful for link lines.  When I select a line on a crowded diagram, it would be nice if it turned something like a bright red so it could stand out better from the other lines.

There's something along this line: select an element and press L. The incoming connectors turn red and the outgoing green. Not exactly, but a bit...
If you press Alt after the L the coloring stays until another element is selected.
